Just another rainy day in Cleveland city. The Tribe is off and it's a good thing! There's an art exhibit in the Heights and my friend is taking care of a cat. He made a funny e-mail that compares the profile of Barack O. to alien creatures from Mars. Why don't the candidates talk about outer space and China more often? and what I really want to know is can Jose Canseco stick his foot in his mouth any further?
just thought I'd ask....

Everything is good! When will this happen? I heard this will be the first election in which both parties' candidate will be a current senator. Current events are important!

Flow Experiment with Water
Current mood: enlightened
Category: Parties and Nightlife
A flow apparatus was set up to measure the flow rate of water at ambient conditions from a tap through tubing into a 19 liter pail. The data is as follows:
--------------------------------------------
ID (in.) L (ft.) q (ft^3/sec) &P (Pa)
--------------------------------------------
0.3937 5.09 0.00120 211
0.3937 4.50 0.00155 293
0.3937 5.09 0.00027 48
0.2362 5.00 0.00120 1599
0.2362 3.68 0.00027 268
0.2362 4.17 0.00027 304
------------------------------------------------
Reynolds Numbers for the first set of data ranged from 1005 to 5683. And those for the second set of data ranged from 1674 to 7333.
Comparison of calculated pressure drop with Crane's Tech. Paper 410 gave similar results.
A process correlation was drawn between ratioes of pressure drops and flows:
(&P1/&P2) = (q1/q2)^2
This correlation is in excellent agreement with Bernoulli's Theorem and Equation for Pipe Flow.
Woody out!
